The group's principal activities are transportation from coast to coast, local pick up and delivery, warehousing, air freight and ocean freight. The group's services include arranging for the transport of customers' freight from the shippers' location to the designated destination. The group does not own any trucking equipment and relies on independent carriers for the movement of customers' freight. The group has strategic alliances with less than truckload, truckload, air, rail and ocean common carriers to provide services. It has six regional operating centers providing brokerage services and representatives in 15 states and Canada. As of 01-Mar-2004 it had five regional offices providing contract carrier services and 43 independent owner-operators. Each operations office markets the full range of supply chain services to existing customers and pursues new customers within their local markets.
