The group's principal activities are to acquire, explore and develop oil and gas and other mineral properties. The group operates in three business segments: oil and gas exploration and development, mineral exploration and development and electrical generation construction. The oil and gas segment acquires interests in producing oil or gas properties and participating in drilling operations. The mineral exploration and development segment includes mining of minerals and precious metals. Currently, the group has curtailed the operations of the mining segment. The electrical generation construction segment designs, constructs and/or operates gas turbine or other electrical generation projects. As of Dec 31, 2002, the group ceased operations and no further business activity is anticipated in this segment. The major customers include calpine corporation and slawson corporation. The group operates in the United States.
