The group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and market surgical medical devices for eye and eye care products. The activities are carried out through two segments namely: ophthalmic surgical and eye care. The ophthalmic surgical segment develops, manufactures and markets medical devices for the cataract and refractive surgery markets. The eye care division develops, manufactures and markets cleaning, storage and disinfection products for the consumer contact lens market. The customers include surgeons performing cataract surgeries, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, optometrists, opticians, ophthalmologists and retailers that sell directly to consumers.
