The group's principal activity is to provide local, long distance, Internet and transaction based voice and data services. The group operates through two segments: business services & consumer services. The business services segment provides a variety of communication services to various sized businesses and government agencies including long distance, international, toll-free and local service. It also provides wholesale transport services, as well as data services and Internet protocol and enhanced services, which includes the management of network servers and applications. The consumer services segment provides communication services to residential customers. These services include traditional long distance voice services, transaction services and dial-up Internet services and all distance services.
