Nationality:Spanish Ana Marķa Llopis Rivas was appointed to the Supervisory Board in 2007. Her term expires in 2011.

Dr Llopis was the founder and CEO of Open Bank (1993-2000) the branchless internet bank of the Spanish Santander Group which now has over 500 000 clients. She also worked for another leading bank in Spain Banesto (1988-1991) where she was Associate General Manager of Branch Network Marketing and Quality for Retail Banking.

Besides her work in the banking sector Dr Llopis has extensive experience in the fast moving consumer goods sector. From 1978 to 1983 she held various marketing positions at Procter & Gamble. From 1983 to 1987 Dr Llopis was Distribution & Marketing Manager at Playtex in Spain and contributed to its turnaround. She also served as Associate General Manager of Schweppes in Spain. In addition to this Dr Llopis has been working in the IT sector and in e-business.
