Alan D. Nesburg is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Chicago office. He is a member of the Firm’s Employee Benefits Department, where he focuses his practice on a wide range of employee benefit matters, including qualified pension and profit-sharing plans, deferred compensation, and group benefits programs. His clients include both public and private businesses.
Alan is a past chairman of the Employee Benefits Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association. He is active in employee benefit matters with the Midwest Benefits Council, the American Bar Association, and the Profit Sharing Council of America. He is a frequent speaker on employee benefits subjects, including presentations at programs of the American Bar Association (Tax Section), Practicing Law Institute, Illinois State Bar Association, and Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education (IICLE). He authored the retirement plans volume of the Illinois Corporation System, published by IICLE, and he is an author of the IICLE guide to drafting qualified benefit plans.
