Dr. James O. Armitage has served as Chair of Internal Medicine, Dean of the College of Medicine at Nebraska and currently is the Joe Shapiro Professor of Medicine in the section of Oncology/Hematology. He developed and directed the Bone Marrow Transplant program at the University of Iowa and later at the University of Nebraska . Dr. Armitage is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology, a Fellow of both the American and Royal College of Physicians, a member of the National Cancer Advisory Board, and past president of both ASCO and the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation. |
