Brian Callister, MD has dedicated his professional life to improving the lives of his patients through his internal medicine and hospitalist practices. Dr. Callister’s impressive list of positions, in addition to being the current Saint Mary’s Chief of Staff, include serving as the Chief Medical Officer for Tahoe Pacific Hospital, the President-Elect of the Washoe County Medical Society, and as Clinical Assistant Professor for University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine among many others. He was also a founding member of the AMSI/Sierra Hospitalists Medical Group in Reno.
Prior to a career in medicine, Dr. Callister earned a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Stanford University and worked as a financial analyst for several years. He then attended the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake and completed his residency at the UCLA Medical Center. He is a nationally recognized lecturer on multiple subjects ranging from hospitalist programs to motivational speaking and is a recipient of the Congressional Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions to the Community. |
