Alistair Buchan is co-head of XL Capital Assurance s (XLCA) Power & Utilities group. He has more than 16 years of project finance experience. Mr. Buchan joined XLCA in 2001 from Barclays Capital, where in his last position as director, infrastructure and power structured bonds, he led a team in both New York and London that originated and executed project finance and related transactions in the power, energy and infrastructure sectors. He also developed and executed highly structured transactions for leveraged special purpose vehicles in the public and private markets for both high yield and high grade issuers. Mr. Buchan received an M.A. in Economics with honors from Edinburgh University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, where he was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honorary society. |
